Asset Manager

Job Purpose: We are looking for an experienced Asset Manager (Hospitality) to undertake end-to-end accountability over the assigned portfolio of hospitality assets and implement RUA’s strategies (asset valuation, asset monetization, asset optimization, asset performance monitoring, etc.) and plans for the portfolio in the best possible manner while working on generating profits, mitigating risks, and attesting to the well-being of hospitality assets on a short and long-term basis to achieve RUA’s objectives.Responsibilities:Hands-on experience in the hotel development process (including planning, design, procurement, and pre-opening) as well as the skills to interface with the Development team will be a significant advantageProven expertise in asset performance optimization, setting up and overseeing tools and processes to monitor asset’s performance as well as overseeing and validating operational and CAPEX budgetsAbility to plan and drive the life-cycle strategy for each asset whilst ensuring alignment with the Company’s policies and overall strategy as well as a track-record of managing large asset portfolios involving a mix of asset classesDemonstrable track record of building win-win partnerships with stakeholders, contractual negotiations and effective Owner representationExpertise in operational and financial data, analytical and financial modelling tools as well as well-honed skills in formulating board-level reporting and presentations.Highly numerate and analytical, excellent financial analysis skills Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Provide input to the periodic reports on RUA’s hospitality asset portfolio (operational and financial). Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate statements and reports to meet department requirements, policies, and quality standards.Prepare periodic reports on the assigned portfolio of hospitality assets (operational and financial) to relevant stakeholders to provide oversight on hospitality asset management status and performance.Develop business cases and reports that capture potential opportunities and associated risks to provide oversight on the next steps to be taken to protect RUA’s hospitality assets.Requirements and Skills: Academic Qualifications: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Business/ Hospitality Management or demonstrable equivalent. Preferred master’s degree in Finance / Hospitality Management or demonstrable equivalent. Experience:Minimum of 6 years of relevant proven work experience as Asset manager. Hotel operational experience (to at least manager level) with intimate knowledge of top- and bottom-line performance factors as well as a working knowledge of operational and regulatory requirements.Proven expertise in asset performance optimization, setting up and overseeing tools and processes to monitor asset’s performance as well as overseeing and validating operational and CAPEX budgets.Expertise in operational and financial data, analytical and financial modelling tools as well as well-honed skills in formulating board-level reporting and presentations.
