Associate Aviation Compliance Director

Job PurposeTo ensure that TRSDC acquires the required regulatory approvals, NOCs, licenses authorization, and certificates for its aviation projects and activities, including analysis and specification of needs and solutionsJob ResponsibilitiesAct as POC with GACA, SANS, AIBPrepare and review official submissions to GACA and related authoritiesObtain the required regulatory approvals, NOCs, licenses and certificates for TRSDC aviation projects and activitiesPrepare, maintain, and update a Compliance Manual ensuring that it complies with current regulations and standards of GACA and other related authorities, that includes updated official regulatory forms and stipulates in detail the procedures/steps to be followed to acquire full compliance status (certification, authorization, approvals, etc.). Carry out manual yearly review and auditFacilitate audits as conducted by GACA and/or other regulatory bodiesBe involved in occurrence or accident investigations and ensure that corrective actions and preventiveDevelop and execute endorsed plans and programs to achieve organizational and departmental goals and objectivesWork in conjunction with existing departments and assist with regulatory guidance where possible/practicalConduct performance appraisals for subordinatesPerforming other duties related to the job as assigned by TRSDC Management Job RequirementsQualifications and ExperienceRecognized degree in Aviation Management, Aviation Safety, Aviation Business administration, Airport Management or relevant specialty with proven/demonstrated previous experience in managerial position (MBA preferred)A minimum of 10 years in aviation related operations fieldStrong knowledge and understanding of GACA, ICAO and FAA standards/requirements SkillsProject ManagementExcellent team management and supervision skills.Excellent Communications and Interpersonal skills.Excellent analytical skills.Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.Excellent follow up and coordination skills.Ability to work under pressure.Multitasking abilities Training and FacilitationAviation SafetyTeam LeadershipJob ContextThis is a key management position in TRSDC Aviation Operations department.This position is responsible for developing and implementing TRSDC Aviation Regulatory Compliance and minimizing/managing TRSDC exposure to aviation risks.
