Business Development Manager (Hospitality)

Roles and ResponsibilitiesDiscover lucrative development plot opportunities when appropriate to the business cycle, by leveraging market knowledge, personal and professional network, in coordination with Feasibility & Market ResearchAssist in shortlisting plots based on cost and potential returnsDevelop high level business case / feasibility study (in coordination with Feasibility and Market Researcher and Investment & Asset Manager) detailing the opportunity summary and acquire relevant approvals for detailed due diligencePresent case to Director of Investment & Development for him to seek approval for acquisition/initiating design and delivery phase of projectPrepare development brief (including overview of project concept, property segment and class mix, target customers, and value proposition) to handover project to Projects team to initiate detailed concept, product design and detailed engineering Coordinate with Projects teams to ensure that the designs (concept, schematic, detailed, and working) developed by architects are in line with the concept and project brief guidelines developed by Investment & DevelopmentPrepare business proposals for joint venture, partnership, mergers with other partiesAssist in the deal negotiation process, as neededAssist in the study of general economic and financial conditions of the hospitality operations of the companyAssist in the exit of divested financial ventures, as neededOversee progress of project construction in coordination with Projects team Education– Bachelor’s Degree in management from a top tier university is required– MBA or equivalent is preferred Experience– 7+ years of experience with at least 3 years in management consulting or business development in a leading organization– Experience with a leading hospitality developer firm is preferred Competencies– Extensive experience in managing hospitality development process (i.e., sourcing, design, feasibility) especially in KSA– Extensive network of contacts in KSA– Excellent investment and feasibility experience– Strong analytical skills (financial proficiency, strategic thinking, business acumen)– Excellent leadership and negotiation skills– Very good written and verbal communication skills
