Senior Structural Design Engineer ( preferably with marine works experience)The position calls for individuals who are in possession of a license to work as a Structural Engineer within a country of the European Union and/or the Country of origin of the selected candidate; with at least 10 years’ experience (preferably in the design of at least 1 large building/infrastructure project with a completion budget of over €20 million). Experience in land reclamation, piling works, quays, and other Marine works will be given preference.Experience in the design of Concrete [Eurocode 2], Steel [Eurocode 3], Composite structures [Eurocode 4], Masonry [Eurocode 5] and Earthquake Resistant [Eurocode 8] is a must while the design of Timber [Eurocode 6] structures are considered an asset. Experience in Geotechnical design [Eurocode 7] is appreciated. Experience in the use of the equivalent BS standards is considered as equally applicable.Knowledge of the Microsoft suite; Microsoft Project; 2D drafting, 3D and BIM software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, as well as structural design software packages such as SAP2000, MASTERSERIES, TEKLA, TEDDS, ETABS. The chosen applicant is to transfer to Malta; travel; work in a small, versatile, tight knit team with experiences spanning from the initial conceptual stages to the evolution of design, follow up of development permit submission, detailed design, tender preparations, supervision/certification of construction and finishing and contract management. Minimum Role Requirements:Proven Fluency in written and spoken English is a mustIn possession of a clean and valid international driving license. Minimum Necessary Requirements Academic BackgroundBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Building Engineering (MQF Level 6 from an internationally recognised University); or higher Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering (MQF Level 7 from an internationally recognised University); or higher Professional BackgroundA warrant/license and/or membership in a nationally recognised body to work as aStructure Engineer Enabled to work on Highrise buildings (unlimited no. of floors), infrastructure and civil works Work Experience A minimum of seven years post qualification and post warrant/licence/membership acquisition work experience Structural design (including structural modelling calculations and detailing) of retaining structure or combi-walls with the value of the structural component being not less than €5 million completed between July 2016 to June 2021Job location is in Malta(EU).
