King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC) was founded as a non-profit institution to advance Saudi Arabia’s energy sector and inform global policies through evidence-based advice and applied research. It brings together a national and international group of experts and consultants to maximize the economic impact of the energy sector. KAPSARC fulfills its mission by providing advice to the Saudi energy sector by leveraging its analytical capabilities and expertise and by producing internationally recognized applied research, tools, and data to impact global policymaking. The KAPSARC Internship Program aims to attract and develop students and equip them with practical experience in different career paths. Trainees will gain valuable industry knowledge, ranging from specific energy domains to enabling functions.PROGRAM TRACKSTrack 1: Knowledge and Analysis (K&A)The K&A track is for applicants who wish to start their career and build technical expertise in specific domains related to energy research such as oil and gas, electricity and renewables, climate and sustainability, transportation and infrastructure, macro-/micro-economics, data wrangling and analytics, mathematical model management and policy simulator development, and operational systemsMajors: Public Policy, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Management Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Social Sciences, Energy, Environmental Science. Track 2: ConsultingThe consulting track is for applicants who wish to work with Energy Ecosystem clients to address their business needs, focus on problem solving skills, develop solutions to help with their challenges, and assist them in their organizational transformation.Majors: Industrial engineering, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or MIS. Track 3: EnablingThe professional track is for applicants who want to develop their careers in specialized career fields such as human resources, information technology, finance, procurement, public relations, and Strategy.Majors: Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Media and Public Relation, Cyber Security or Computer Science. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSHold a bachelor’s degree.A letter from your university, must state that they don’t object if the training was longer than 500 hours.Have an outstanding academic performance with a GPA of 4/5, or the equivalent.Are available for a full-time trainee role for 6 months.Be fluent in written and spoken English.
