Job Purpose and Role SummaryPIF is seeking a Data Analytics Specialist specialist to join the Human Capital Division to support in interpreting and exploring business problems using people dataGeneral Focus AreaSelecting and advising on what databases to useIdentifying data held and its potential useTaking an analytical consulting approach to people issuesInterpreting and exploring business problems using people dataCreating people data sets and aligning these to wider organizational data setsUsing and applying quantitative and qualitative research design to solve problemsCarrying out data analysis, from basic to multivariate analysisMaking sure data is reported in a transparent, accessible and useable wayAdvising HR business partners on the best course of action.Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniquesDeveloping and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and qualityAcquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databasesIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsFilter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problemsWork with management to prioritize business and information needsLocate and define new process improvement opportunitiesEducation and experienceBS or MS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or similar quantitative field, with an emphasis on predictive analytics, data mining, statistics, linear algebra, machine learning, and/or algorithms (comparable industry experience may be substituted for this requirement)2-4 years of experience
