Data Engineering Section Manager

Job Purpose:The Data Engineering Section Manager is responsible for establishing data processing policies and standards, and improving and managing data processing, understanding, and reporting.Duties & Responsibilities:1- Planning and Strategy:Develop the operational plan for Data Engineering in line with the Data and Business Intelligence action plan and IT strategic plan.Manage the KPIs and measure / monitor the progress.2- Operations and budget management:Provide inputs to the budget in accordance with the action plan and projectsFollow and keep abreast with best practicesDevelop processes, procedures, forms, and tools to manage data in accordance with policies and prepare business needs for automation in coordination with information systems.Implementation of control and reporting systems compliance with procedures and performance.Supervising the day-to-day activities of the work team and ensuring that work procedures are implemented as per defined processes.Make operational decisions related to data management or assign it to data and business intelligence when necessary.3- Data Management and Business Intelligence:Develop data policy and standards based on best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency in data collection and processing.Manage the collection of data and information requirements from the bank’s stakeholders to prioritize the business intelligence reporting portfolio.Manage the collection of metadata and rules associated with the Bank’s operations and create an integrated view of the Bank’s data.Manage and prepare dynamic dashboard requirements using business intelligence tools and disseminate them to relevant stakeholders.Manage the conversion of data into information usable by departments and stakeholders.Updating the reports prepared on information intelligence and managing the preparation of regular and exceptional reports required from departments according to business requirements.Participate in the design, development, and activation of logical or actual data models that help to understand and process data and serve its visual requirements.Analyzing data about the challenges facing the bank by using specialized methods and extracting the required information.Reviewing data processing procedures and practices to maintain its security, integrity, and integrity in all its forms and combinations.Create business specifications for data flow and transformation according to established procedures and standards.Keeping abreast of developments in information technology to improve data processing and lay the foundations for storing and preparing reports accordingly.4- People Management:Contribute to recruiting talents in the section.Provide guidance, advice, and support to subordinates to perform their duties in accordance with approved policies and procedures.Empowering employees and providing formal and informal feedback to support professional development and best performance.5- Additional Activities:Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with external stakeholders such as government agencies and advisors to serve the Bank.Support colleagues in the organizational structure when needed in the performance of their responsibilities.Participate in the preparation of reports related to activities and achievements to make the necessary decisions.Perform other activities as necessary.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data science, Computer Engineering, or any related field.6 to 8 years of experience, with at least a year of experience in a supervisory position.Advanced knowledge in Data Management.Advanced knowledge in Data analysis and reporting.Advanced knowledge of information systems.Advanced knowledge in Follow-up and performance monitoring .Advanced knowledge in IT Change Management.
