Jobs at this level are responsible for overseeing all phases of operations and maintenance projects of STC including 24/7 surveillance for STC networks, preventive and corrective maintenance, security and business continuity management, network optimization, traffic management and network issue resolution.. Also, they are responsible for participating in supporting the Marketing General Directorates (Business Units) to propose services within STC network capabilities.Coordinates across a number of work units within the specified area of work, to ensure efficient work flows and accurate outputs. Manages small to mid – sized projects and initiatives, as may be required by the reporting senior. Manages internal process improvement related projects and initiatives, as may be required by the reporting senior. Participates in articulating comprehensive project plans for STC’s operations and maintenance projects and develops project scope, objectives and processes. Participates in the preparation of budgets for assigned STC’s projects and ensures that the project implementation is in compliance with established budgets. Allocates work programmes to the team and ensures that necessary installation and maintenance reports and analyses are available on time for management decision making purposes. Supervises the ad – hoc installation and maintenance of STC’s network equipment and ensures all quality and safety standards are met in every phase. Reviews STC’s standards reporting templates and ensures these are in line with the requirements of relevant key stakeholders. Participates in analysing the best practices in the field of operations and maintenance and assists in effectively implements these in STC, in order to optimize the entire project management life cycle. Monitors performance of external consulting firms and coordinates with relevant departments to update the progress of project work undertaken by these firms.Manages performance of real-time network-wide monitoring of STC networks covering PSTN, Data, PLMN and International Gateways (IGW), to ensure the network systems meet established quality standards. Manages effective execution of calls and ensures call controls for hard-to-reach destinations, to ensure effective customer satisfaction.Manages front office customer support for Wholesale Business Unit (WBU) customers, in order to effectively interface between WBU customers and various NOCs within STC. Analyses escalated fraud cases and coordinates with revenue assurance department, for effective investigation of these cases. Manages Maintenance Downtime (MDT) activities to minimize service impact on the network. Manages the team in the review of long duration calls data files collected by SNOC and comparison with ICMS, in order to make necessary corrections for accurate billing. Analyses escalated customer complaints forwarded by juniors and effectively resolve the same.Oversees collection of subscribers meter readings from various PSTN switches and ensures that it reaches data centre for due time billing and before cut-over for new numbers. Manages effective monitoring and auditing operating performance of various groups under Network Operations, to ensure achievement and excellence in their service assurance quality and performance objectives.Acts as technical point of reference for OLO, Key Accounts Customers and ISP by addressing their complaints and referring their issues to concerned NOCs. Ensures implementation of Key Account Customers Disaster Recover (DR) plans including 999, 997, 996 etc.Ensures 24*7 network surveillance is provided for international operators. Ensures 24*7 monitoring of all network elements and evaluating any defaults in advance. Develops and communicates statistics related to customer feedback on parameter inconsistencies and highlights relevant figures to immediate seniors. Supervises preparation and implementation of shift plans for the reporting team, if any, including resources, work scheduling and backups for shift operators to ensure effective completion of planned tasks. Reviews all technical reports relevant to operations and maintenance of STC’s networks and forwards the same to senior members of the team, for review and approval. Manages the payment procedures for vendors and reports the budget status on a regular basis to management.Analyses customer complaints and maintenance logs prepared by the reporting team and leads initiatives
