EFS Facilities Services Group is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Fire Safety Manager in Saudi Arabia. The purpose of this position is to manage, co-ordinate and monitor the Community Fire & Rescue Response Team(s) (Contractors) and lead the development of emergency response systems, procedures, and practices, to ensure operational readiness of all teams in the event of an emergency as ‘deputy’ to the Fire Safety Manager. The Deputy Fire Safety Manager will support and be the second Subject Matter Expert (SME) in all areas relating to Fire Training Standards, Fire Protection Regulations, Tactical Response and Fire Service Equipment.In this role, you will: Manage and organize the availability and reliability of the team and equipment to handle the emergencies in the respective community areasLead and monitor the updates of all matters relating to fire management systems, policies, and procedures, as part of Operations Integrated Management System to ensure efficiency and consistencyAlign all fire management requirements for the existing and new projects, operations, purchased items, assets, and other technical modifications to ensure adequate protection measures and mitigating any associated risk, as being complied with fire management systems and protocolsMonitor the inspection and testing activities for the related systems and equipment to ensure compliance with emergency response requirements and governing fire protection standardsLead and support emergency response (fire) 24×7 to ensure timely handling of any incidents affecting the company’s employees, assets, and communitiesSet the operational standards and monitor the Fire & Rescue Team competencies to ensure the desired level of compliance towards all Fire Management policies and proceduresCompile and provide input for preparation of the Fire & Rescue Team budgets and regularly monitor expenditure against approved the budget levelsTo be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:A minimum of 15 years’ experience in Fire Management and rescue operation; Experience in Corporate Business Continuity Planning and ISO: 22301; Understanding of Fire Protection, Hazardous Material Response, Emergency Response, use of Life Support Equipment utilized by NEOM and Municipal fire services; Knowledge of Incident Command System (ICS) or equivalency including crisis and disaster recovery planning techniques; Certified Firefighter from an accredited Fire and Rescue service NFPA 1021 Fire Officer or Watch Manager (Internationally recognized equivalent) NFPA 1041 or Fire Instructor (Internationally recognized equivalent) NFPA 1031 Fire Inspector or Certified Fire Inspection (FP) (Internationally recognized equivalent) NFPA 472 Hazmat Operations or Hazardous Materials awareness via authorized Fire and Rescue Service (Internationally recognized equivalent) NFPA 1006 Rescue Technician or Rope access and confined space entry certified (Internationally recognized equivalent) Incident Command in the Fire Service or equivalent Tactical Ventilation and Fire Behavior Instructor or equivalent NEBOSH in Fire Safety and Risk Management or equivalent
