Job PurposeGeneral Services Director’s mission is to provide leadership and best practices in managing facilities, supplies, security and resource conservation, maintenance, and other support services to DACO staff in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. Duties and responsibilities:Prepare reports and review the preparation of agenda items that relate to the facilities, maintenance, and operations departments; administer the DACO facilities budget.Manage general service support operations and property administrationLead the development/adaptation of general services and DACO property administration guidelines and procedures such as property admin, motor pool, fuel and utilities management and maintenance, cleaning, catering, etc. Manage all service contracts with service-providing companies and vendors including cleaning companies, equipment/furniture maintenance companies, etc. Ensure regular review of all service contracts with service providers and vendors for competitiveness in the market to obtain the best value for money.Ensure the proper management and regular maintenance of all office vehicles, including rented vehicles, and their fuel usage and ensure that they are inspected and registered with government offices, repairs of property, grounds, or utilities in the offices. Ensure that all important documents related to general services operations and administration including contract agreements, and correspondences are kept appropriately.Ensure that office furniture and equipment inventory is regularly updated and ensure regular maintenance of office equipment as and when needed.Work closely with Finance team to ensure an annual Fixed Asset Report is prepared, then updated based on regular inventory count including overseeing the disposal properties. Oversee management of office stores for supplies and furniture, ensure the appropriate use of office stationeries, supervise office stationery stock, and ensure the cleanliness of the storeroom Lead workspace arrangements for staff, configuring office and common areas, and organizing furniture and other procurement, repairs, and improvements as needed. Manage expatriate staff and dependents, visitors and guests’ work and resident permits, visas, etc. responsible for the safety of DACO staff with coordination with the Safety department by recognizing hazards and potentially hazardous situations and having an awareness of safe practices on the job site.Complies with All DACO Policies & Procedures including Safety and reporting hazards.Performs other related duties as assigned and any additional ad-hoc will be assigned as per work requirement.Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent is requiredMinimum of 12 years’ experience
