Director, Site Acquisition

Summary: Manage the resolution of urgent, VIP, or escalated issues in the field with Tenants, Landowners, Municipality, Government entities, etc. by visiting the related areas and communicating/ directing with internal and external stakeholders.MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:Engage, along with the GM, on the formulation, and monitoring of TAWAL’s site leasing & acquisition strategy, objectives, policies & procedures to ensure that excellent service is delivered in the most efficient and effective mannerEngage in solution development, and resolve all emergency or critical task ariseOversee liaison with operations and commercial to identify TAWAL site and property requirements; analyze the market to identify and recommend compatible site and property options to GMAct, on behalf of GM, on issues in the field with Tenants, Landowners, Municipality, Government entities, etc. by visiting the related areas and communicating/ directing with internal and external stakeholders.Review the evaluation of site leasing options and advice means to enhance optimization and utilization of current sites through understanding site demand and compare it to its capacityEngage in negotiations with land and property owners and ensure TAWAL’s commercial interest is catered for and agree on terms and conditions and acquire site and property as requiredMonitor, review and escalate all relevant to site and property licensing and permits and ensure adherence by agreed terms and conditionsMonitor, review and escalate the management of all relevant to site and property management activities to safeguard TAWAL’s interests and report emerging requirements and challenges to relevant partiesMonitor, review, escalate and assess periodic reports from records of all relevant to site acquisition, leasing and management activities and report to GM.Participate in the development of TAWAL’s strategy and operational objectives and advice on the cascading of the overall strategy to the relevant functional areaParticipate in developing financial budgeting and projection and monitor actual performance throughout the financial cycleMonitor, review, and assess the performance of line management to ensure TAWAL’s strategy and objectives are applied and metKeep abreast of discipline best practice and drive implementing it in TAWALPerforms other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Line Manager to meet Section/Department objectives.Participate in formulating TAWAL’s strategy and cascade it to ensure each functional area has its objectives and KPIsAssist in financial budgeting through providing insights and recommendations to the respective functional areaManage TAWAL’s employees; lead by example to ensure good performance and achieving the functional area’s KPIs and objectives Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Legal, Business, Finance or equivalentMaster’s degrees in business administrations or similar is preferredProject Management Certificate is preferredExperience:10 years of experience.Functional Expertise (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):High level skills with Microsoft office Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBIPracticed at balancing stakeholder interests and prioritizing competing tasksAble to develop strategies and execute with a high degree of ownershipResults-oriented and driven to innovate in a flexible environmentResourceful problem-solvers who take the initiative to learn new skillsFluency in Arabic and English (reading and writing)
