Summary:The EHS and Quality Director is responsible for ensuring quality, environment, health, and safety compliance. He/she will represent both the EHS and the Quality Control departments to the Executive Management and will monitor the quality assurance in project execution. Role and Responsibilities:Quality Control:Monitor and ensure the implementation of quality management system – quality matrix and the quality manuals; Design the training programs for quality control and quality assurance; Provide inputs for the quality requirements at the engineering review phase; Present the yearly budget for the EHS department and the Quality Control department; Validate the Quality Inspection plan; Continually improve the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS); Continuously check for global best practices and imbibe them in GESAT. Overseeing quarterly quality management reviews and ensuring the documentations of the quality management reviews meetings; Coordinate third party quality audit for compliance as per regulatory requirements, customer specifications and necessary certifications. Oversee all audits conducted for quality assurance; Oversee the audit findings, status and corrective actions to GESAT management and include the same in the quality management review meetings; Ensure all quality compliances for GESAT; Carry out any other tasks as assigned by the Executive Management. EHS: Oversee the activities of the EHS function and ensure the compliances for EHS Matrix in the shop floor and the whole GESAT premises. Act as a bridge between the Engineering department, Production department and the HR department keeping the EHS function at the core of this relationship. Monitor and approve the EHS annual master calendar. Participate in the management review meeting and appraise the management on EHS.Present the monthly progress report and the future plan for EHS in matters related to project execution. Oversee the implementation of ISO Management System with respect to ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Preferred SkillsStrong leadership skills; Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification would be an advantage; Analytical skills and attention to details; Proven skills in problem diagnosis and problem solving; Proven project management and process improvement ability.
