Engines Mechanic

The Engines Mechanic will be directly reporting to the Engines Workshop Lead. The Engines Mechanic is expected to know and handle all in-house engines repairs done inside the Engines Workshop. The Engines Mechanic will be in charge of conducting overhauls and repairs for all engines assigned to the workshop, support the EWL in preparing the spare parts lists required, help in investigating premature failures and provide technical recommendations for all planned and corrective maintenances of all engines done inside engines workshop. The Engines Mechanic must have hands on working experience in operation of Oil & Gas common type engines repair workshops with in-depth knowledge of testing and repair activities. The Engines Mechanic must be familiar with all CAT engines commonly used in the drilling industry as well as having detailed understanding of various oil field standards including but not limited to API and ASME. The Engines Mechanic under the EWL guidance will be responsible for troubleshooting, minor and major overhauls of all engines types that are available in the fleet, will have an in-depth knowledge of using the CAT ET software and Load test of engines. The Engines Mechanic is expected to follow the company’s HSE and quality standards and ensure that all repairs are done in accordance withthe OEM’s recommendations. The Engines Mechanic should have the required knowledge, talent and attitude to handle his duties efficiently and effectively with a focus on continuous systems and knowledge improvements.Perform duties peculiar to and normally required in the trade of engines, following recognized procedures and techniques for such work.Must be experienced in using CAT Special Fault Diagnostic Tools & Modern tools in the mechanical field.Perform all CAT engines overhauls for all ADC fleet CAT engine models whether in the workshop or in the field.Must be experienced in troubleshooting, overhauling the electronic and mechanical rig application engines (3500 sires with ADAM III, IV software, D399, D398, D397, 3306, 3456, 3406 and 3412).Must be experienced in troubleshooting, overhauling the electronic and mechanical rig application engines (C-series, C15 and C27).Must be able to perform Engine/Generator alignment using both laser alignment and mechanical alignment methods.Able to communicate precise information with the OEM whenever required.Excellent knowledge of reading and understanding mechanical drawings, workshop tools and equipment, parts identification and ordering, and mechanical inventory management system. Minimum 10 yrs. in the field services same discipline preferably with CAT dealer workshop or field technician
