We know that huge growth brings a few complications and challenges to our technology and we, in engineering, are aware of them and we are looking to solve those. We are a modern retail enabler with e-commerce top tech, a fintech startup, a logistics and shipping consolidator and we understand and believe that technology and business go hand-in-hand.We like to do things right! What do we expect from you?We do understand what being a Head of Data Analytics and AI entails and we want to ensure that the person taking the lead in this role is aligned with our vision of what to expect. So, as a Head of Data Analytics and AI you will be in charge of:Design, build and implement the Data Analytics and AI StrategyCreating the data technical roadmapBuilding and consolidating the data governance for our companyEnsure you are responsible for data and information that is provided to the organization ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and availability of it.Build the right predictive analytics through the ability to manage the correct ML processesBuild the AI and ML team (currently not in place)Provide proactive and innovative support to all business functions but in particular to Finance and Sales & OperationsThink outside of the box to build new products that can drive improvements in MRR and ARBUOn top of this you will also be responsible for challenging the status quo while ensuring you are realistic with the balance between innovation and cost efficiency. You will be leading a team of 6 data analysts / engineers and consolidate the team even further to ensure the right data support and innovation is given across the organization We would also expect you to become the ambassador for Data Analytics and AI and as ambassador be the driver for data governance and data management. How does your first month look like?It will be intense and hectic, lets not lie! However, your first month will be about discovering the as is as fast as you can, getting to the details of the current data structures, data technology stack use, getting to know the team and the team strengths, creating the right rapport with the main stakeholders and start building the data strategy and the overall plans for the next 2 years for the data team in Zid. This month is critical to proof to yourself first and to others second that you will kill it in this role! On top of this you will be asked to build your first 100 days plan strategy in the first 2 weeks. This strategy should not only be about what you will be doing and how you would do it and what would you need to do it but also it shall show details on financials and down to earth practical actionable tasks. We are looking for someone that will take proactive action and energized the team towards ensuring the right delivery of support to our Zid people as well as to our clients. It is crucial to have a sense of urgency, passion to help and a very very strong detailed oriented aptitude.Lastly, you will also be asked to take full ownership on the process and your scope from day 1. You will work closely with the CTO in defining your strategy which shall link to the 2 years Technology Strategic Plan (already completed) of Zid. This is a key aspect to consider and to ensure the right alignment to our business objectives is also in place. Responsibilities:Lead a diverse group of data scientists, data engineers, and experts in data management, statistical programming and operations that are dedicated to integrating and analyzing the Company’s data across all segmentSet strategy for the function, balancing delivery of near-term goals and longer-term implementation of enterprise data infrastructure inclusive of data standards and governance.Successfully design, build, update and implement the Data Strategy of Zid. (you will be expected to communicate this strategy to the full C level)Drive the scope and effectiveness of the data and analysis function.Ensure the data is centralized into a single data source and modeled ensuring that it matches and supports business needs.Evolve the teamCollaborate with all departments and executive management to ensure data needs are addressed and the required data is modeled and available to enable them to make more informed decisions. Develop a roadmap for the data and analytics function that clearly defines ownership and responsibility between the data functions.Lead, motivate, and manage data team members.Lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of the information architecture, as well as a roadmap for its future development.Utilize our data to become a competitive advantage and generate a new revenue stream.Build the predictive analytics by implementing new technologies oriented to ML (Predicting Sales for Merchants, Predicting Merchants Churn, Providing Marketing Analytics in an automatic and intelligent way, provide simulation scenarios based on inputted data to predict sales and conversion, etc)In partnership with IT leadership, develop an architecture and capabilities roadmap to enable and support emerging technologies and methodologies, (AI/ML, CI/CD, etc)Requirements:A background studies in Computer Science or similarAt least 10 years of hands-on experience in data and analytics and the application of it across different industries (background in Data Engineering or Data Architect)Experience in our data technology stack including but not limited to:StitchNifiAurora postgressRedshiftClickhouseAlteryxPowerBiTableauMetabasePython programingETL management and reverse ETLKnowledge in delivering data governance models and the implementation of theseActive in programming in languages such as Python, R3, or relatedHands-on experience in building data models and implementing machine learning algorithms An inclusive leader, with experience creating an environment where all colleagues can develop and that enables their best performance.History of building and leading a best-in-class data & analytics organization.Working knowledge of current and future industry trends including AI/ML, digital technologies, RWD, etc.Knowledge of best practices and regulatory requirements for management and governance of data in SaSS industry.Hands-on experience in building strategic and operating models for Data Analytcis and AIKnowledge in implementing AI solutions for ecommerce
