A commercial-savvy professional who will provide effective leadership and management of Foodics Capital product, and guarantee its growth, efficient operation and long-term sustainability. “Foodics Capital” is a micro-lending arm that offers Shariah-compliant loans to small F&B businesses, with the aim to revolutionize SME lending, through offering faster and more flexible lending options than most of such in the region.You will play an important role in product commercial growth, enhancements, risk management and lending decisions for qualified clients, building product strategy, overseeing all microlending related strategies, staff and operations. You will be accountable for identifying and validating lending project, planning, forecasting, allocating, reallocating, coordinating, controlling, monitoring and reporting capex execution, identifying any deviation and taking corrective action, which in turn, shall increase product profitability and/or save cost based on insights from KPI’s and benchmarking exercises.This role offers unique exposure to core business areas, collaborating closely with our key internal players (Product, Expansion, Sales, Legal teams, and Top Management) and our high-value merchants & partners. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign viable Foodics Capital overall business plan, develop and review metrics over capital allocation, generation, utilization and performance, ensuring the alignment with Foodics strategy and the vision set for the productEnsure that Foodics Capital plans and targets are achieved, variances (if any) are properly identified and explained, and correction actions are taken. All operation policies and procedures are applied consistently, uniformly and in compliance.Drive product research to understand future impacts on product offerings and production on targeted market and customers, which may result in constant revisions for microlending options and products Regularly create operational reports including competitors and clients’ feedback/concerns and service delivery insights to come up with recommendations for improvement.Lead identification of opportunities for product improvement and growth based on market and customer insights, and work with tech team to identify and develop new winning products and solutionsAct as a liaison between a third party financial lending institution and the internal team, and the clients to make sure the process is going smoothly and clients are well supported and managed Partner with Sales and Customer Success Managers to deliver white-glove service for the Foodics Capital process. This includes joining our restaurant merchant calls to gain clarity on business model risk or financial statementsBuild and maintain effective relationships with related partners, staff, clients and other local microfinancing institutes.RequirementsBachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; master’s degree is a plus7+ years of experience in similar role – ideally in tech/financial related industries – underwriting merchant processing or commercial lending Experience with preparing concise written assessments and delivering clear oral presentations for senior team A creative thinker with strong analytical skills that is able to take a holistic approach in deriving a recommendationOrganized and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask a variety of merchant reviews at onceKnowledge of microlending and fund management legislation in Saudi arabia is a plus Someone who appreciate the use of technology as a key driver of organization efficiencyFluency in English.
