Primary objective:This position leads the Human Resources function at Misk Schools. The focus the role is securing, developing and retaining human capital, so supporting the vision of the organisation of providing excellence in education and meeting the needs of key stakeholders, including students and parents. Additionally, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring that HR Policies & Procedures are understood and complied with. Manpower and budgetary planning are a key aspect of this role and the postholder will be expected to pursue efficiencies and secure best value for money in the operation of the HR function. The focus of this position is the provision of professional HR services across the organisation and to ensure Misk Schools is compliant with Saudi Labor Law and other regulations.Areas of responsibility:lead the HR team and HR function in Misk Schools.manage the HR budgets.develop, review and implement HR Policy and Procedures and control measures.produce staffing and HR reports for the Senior Leadership Team, the Board and other stakeholders as required.develop, review and implement safeguarding protocols for all staff and visitors entering School premises or coming into contact with students.develop, review and implement the HR Department Business Plan.ensure that all employees understand and engage with the Misk Schools Performance management system and its requirements.manage the provision of advice on procedural/policy matters requested by employees.ensure that the HR service levels meet Misk Schools’ overall standards and objectives.manage Payroll in accordance with Misk Schools’ HR Policies and Procedures.implement workflow standards to ensure that required actions are taken only based on properly approved documentation.implement mechanisms to ensure that information/documents/files are kept up-to-date in a secure environment and only released to individuals with the correct permissions.coordinate the development of HR automated systems in order to improve system and supervisory controls and generate reporting adequate for operational management and decision-makers.review the organisationals structure as part of the business planning process and ensure capacity and capability requirements are met.maintain a database of all approved job descriptions, ensuring that any changes are reviewed and agreed according to the authority matrix.coordinate and agree any job evaluation and grading to ensure a consistent approach across various functions and skills.comply with the approved grading and compensation structure, as agreed with the Deputy Director General, when processing salary changes.maintain high levels of security in relation to computer-based resources and applications.meet third party payment requirements and commitments e.g. GOSI.develop and implement a Recruitment Plan for the School, ensuring that recruitment processes and practices follow HR Policy and Procedure.operate cost effective recruitment practices to obtain the best talent at market referenced remuneration rates.oversee arrangements for work/business visas, iqamas and exit re-entry visas.compile and implement a Saudisation plan and monitor, evaluate and report results as required.manage the Misk Schools’ Learning and Development Centre.coordinate training need information with Departments and identify cost effective training programs that will specifically address School business requirements.promote a ‘learning culture’ among direct reports by facilitating engagement with training, mentoring, coaching e.g. mentoring on HR operations.ensure that subcontractors/consultants/visitors are fully aware of and compliant with Misk Schools’ Data Protection policy.conduct the daily activity of the Department with reference to School policy.embed School culture and ethics in all the activities of the Department.collaborate with Deputy Director General to establish and achieve personal performance objectives.work as a team member with colleagues across the organisation. Safeguarding:the post holder will be required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and follow the school’s safeguarding policies and the staff code of conduct. They will directly support the Designated Safeguarding Lead as a priority to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students at the school.Suitable qualifications: BA/MA in Public Administration or HRPostgraduate degree or diploma in HRMembership of a Professional Body (e.g. CIPD or equivalent)Desirable experience: 8 plus years’ experience with at least 4 years leading the HR Department in a medium to large-sized company. Skills, knowledge and abilities:ability to communicate clearly in written and spoken English and Arabic with colleagues and external agenciesability to work sensitively with people from other culturesevidence of good organisational skills, including record keepingability to develop and maintain critical relationships internally and externallyenthusiasm for working in an environment of positive change and developmentability to organise own workload and work to agreed deadlinescommitment to professional developmentproficiency in the use of IT for administration purposes and specialised HR software
