IMPORTANT!VoIP Experience MUST HAVE!The proposed position will be for a member of a support technical team, which is responsible for VoIP, functions and services related issues (operations, 2nd and 3rd level support). The engineer will be working in a group of IT experts locally and within multiple projects to cover the required services functionalities and availability.Roles and Responsibilities• This position will require travelling (Dubai, Abu Dhabi). When not on site, Engineers will be assisting in the development of project plans, designs and documentation for existing and new scopes.• Plan, deploy, configure, troubleshoot collaboration solutions from the beginning to implementation by collaborating with vendors• Establish a working VOIP system while keeping in mind client requirements• Plan, install, configure, examine and maintain VoIP products• Have extensive knowledge of routing protocols (Static, OSPF, and BGP)• Design and deploy changes to the configurations of clients as per the applicable change management process.• Provide support services for SIP SignallingSkillsRole Knowledge Requirements• Proven track record working with leading unified collaboration systems like Cisco, Avaya• Experience evaluating, designing, implementing, and managing collaboration infrastructure• Working knowledge of Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) including associated G.711 and G.729 codecs and Digital Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF)• Knowledge of third party/open source SIP stacks• Hands-on experience with Session Border Controllers and Voice Gateways• Extensive hands-on experience with dial plans, IVRs, SIP, IAX, RTP, SRTP including TLS, DIDs, codecs and other protocols• Solid understanding of traditional telephony, PRIs, BRIs, FXO/FXS, circuit-switching, POTS, PSTN, MTSO• Very good knowledge of protocol and packet analysis• Solid understanding of OSI model, firewalls, IP routing, IP switching• Hands-on experience with network monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics tools• Strong understanding of NAT traversal for VOIP• Connectivity using copper/fiber• Effective communication and strong analytical skills• Knowledge of Linux environments
