Need an expert paint technician on paints, varnishes, enamels, resins and other coatings. Have a knowledge of paint and varnish types (i.e. solvent-based, water-based, powder-based), properties (colour, brightness, sheen, adhesion, durability, resistance to wear, corrosion and chemical agents and drying times and temperatures), application methods (brush, spray, immersion, electrophoresis) and tools and equipment (brushes, rollers, airbrushes, dryer lamps and drying ovens).Paint Technician – Duties and Responsibilities.The main duties of a paint technician include:-Examining surfaces to be treated-Preparing surfaces to be painted-Applying preparatory treatments to surfaces-Preparing and mixing paints and any other substances to be applied-Applying paints and any decorative elements-Checking the finished item-Performing maintenance on tools, equipment and machinerySkills and Qualifications.Paint Technicians need to have the following skills:-Ability to use painting machinery and equipment-In-depth knowledge of characteristics of paints and materials-Familiarity with workplace safety regulations-Professionalism and attention to detail-Ability to work on own initiative-Make use of one’s manual skills to correct defects caused by production errors (such as incorrect preparation of the support structure or insufficient / excessive drying time) and to ensure that the finished product is always of the highest quality———Paint technician (Level 1)(Surface preparation)-Material & equipment for surface preparation work-Filler (Putty) application and sanding-Primer surfacer application and sanding-Masking materials. Types and Procedure(Spraying)-Types of characteristic of topcoat paint-Spray gun operation-Spraying solid color-Drying methods and equipment’s-Polishing materials and methods(Solid color matching)——–Pro Paint technician (Level 2)(Carry out level 1 repair and above.)(Surface preparation II – Complex surface)-Filler (putty) application and sanding-Primer surfacer application and sanding-Masking methods(Paint composition and characteristic)-Paint composition and characteristic-Paint film quality due to spraying condition-Spot repair methods of metallic & coat mica(Color matching II)-OEM color system-Color matching metallic and 2 coat mica-Computerized color matching(Plastic parts surface treatment and painting)-Plastic parts repair knowledge (ABS, PP, etc.)-Plastic parts painting-Plastic bumper repair and painting——– Experience 3 – 5 years in a reputed automotive workshop- Should read, understand and write English well enough to follow guidelines, Spray painting and color mixing
