As part of the Sanabil 500 MENA Accelerator Fund Team, you will be on the frontier of growth investing and creating value in promising technology companies across the MENA region. You’ll be a steward of our most important relationships – our founders.About the role: The role of our Partner will be critical to value creation in our Fund’s portfolio and will work closely with and advise founders and their management teams on growth strategies, augmenting performance, leadership and more. You’ll also build and leverage networks to strategically introduce key enablers that can help grow their business – be it coaches, advisors, other founders, potential clients or later-stage investors. While this role will not entail sourcing new investment opportunities, it is strategically positioned within our Fund team to be highly involved in commercial due diligence of prospective companies and follow-on investment decisions.Key responsibilities: Establishing strong and trusted relationships with founders and their senior management teams and setting a scalable cadence of communication, prioritization structure, and the manner in which to track their progress. Working with founders to identify key business issues and opportunities, strategy setting or ways in which they can achieve their growth plans; establishing a clear action plan for each relationship. Sharing prior experiences and sourcing appropriate mentors/subject matter experts to support them as needed. Building and maintaining a high-value network of strategic stakeholders that could be valuable to our portfolio companies, and connecting founders with them to help scale their businesses.Organizing and conducting workshops for founders on growth, strategy or operations-related topics. Lead the research, development, and implementation of new content and learning models (e.g., cohort-based)Conducting commercial due diligence on prospective portfolio companies to identify suitability for investment, including market or sector-specific research. Conducting analysis and providing first-hand insight and feedback on company performance and growth for follow-on investments by the Fund. What you’ll need: At least 10 years experience, most recently at a senior level in a top-tier strategy consulting firm, VC/PE business or high-growth business.Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or other relevant/quantitative disciplines from a leading university; MBA would be advantageous. Prior experience as a founder or senior team member of a VC/PE company would be a significant advantage. A passion for VC, technology and early-stage startups. Proactive and responsive – always looking out for or foreseeing the potential needs or problems of portfolio companies and sharing solutions or acting promptly.Ability to quickly establish credibility, trust and rapport with people from all walks of life, and to lead with influence and persuasion. Culturally aware and respectful to our team and community.Highly collaborative – enjoy working with people, humble, and low ego. Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
