Planning Manager

Role:Responsible for providing planning and scheduling support and assistance to the Senior Planning Manager, Project Managers, and other Project team members.Responsibilities:Understanding work scope, and quantity and familiar with logical sequencing of construction disciplines;Providing detailed review, analysis, and monitoring of the procurement and construction program of the Consultant, Contractor, Subcontractors and Utilities;Identify any potential or actual delays to the consultant or contractor’s schedule and coordinate with project manager to make sure project activities and contract milestones are according to planSupport the production of periodic reporting data as required work closely on a day to day basis with the consultant and/or contractor’s planning team to maintain the quality and integrity of the planning processSupport the production of progress reports, graphs and other data as required for the monthly and weekly progress reportsReporting to the Senior Planning Engineer any risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies to maintain the project completion date;Conducting independent site visits to evaluate the contractor’s site progress against his program and reporting to the Senior Planning Engineer and Project ManagerProviding support to the project management team in understanding the program risks and opportunities of potential additional works and variation proposals;Attend progress meeting with Contractors and Consultants to review progress and discuss proposed mitigation or recovery actions.Qualifications & Experience:Minimum 12-15 years Post Graduate Engineering experience gained preferably in a Property Development or Construction environment in a planning or project control function.Experience in major infrastructure and utilities projects is desirable.Competencies required are excellent organizational skill, analytical skills, interpersonal skills, diplomacy, materials and construction knowledge and a good knowledge of the local industry.Proficiency using latest version of Primavera planning software together with proficiency using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products in generating reports.Ability to work in office and on-site facility.
