Spread over 18 countries – and growing – Kerry plays a large role in supplying food & beverage solutions to this diverse region.About The RoleWork Location: Jeddah, Saudi ArabiaReporting To: QC ManagerWorking Hours: Shift Rotation (7am to 7pm / 7pm to 7am)Key responsibilities Handle and be familiar with all applicable laboratory equipment and provide quality inspections on all related items Assist to perform of microbiological and analytical testing as required. Collect data required for validation activities aligned with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) Assist to monitor sanitation processes, according to validation plans and schedules Assist in reviewing the site procedures in accordance with global guidelines Support laboratory quality control, equipment maintenance, calibration and sanitation Complete all required paperwork in an accurate and timely manner Responsible for adhering to food safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer and SQF requirements Ensure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate format, and completed with required information and properly documented Utilize continuous improvement mindset and assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes Follow Good Laboratory Practices and work safety practices, which include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc Assist in lab housekeeping to maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area Report any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediatelyQualifications And Skills Bachelor’s degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Food Engineering or similar field. Minimum 3 years’ experience in QC within Food Industry Strong interest and passionate in gaining quality knowledge Adaptable with a willing to learn mind set who is open to be guided by senior team members Good communication, writing and presentation in English & collaboration skills Innovative, team player, independent, pro-active, and confident individual Fluent in Arabic and English
