Real Estate Accountant Job Summary :We are looking for a full-time real estate accountant to join our expanding team! Prepare balance sheets, profit, and loss statements, and other financial reports. Accountant duties and responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organization’s finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Accounting candidates must be familiar with standard concepts, practices. Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.You’ll be responsible for keeping our financial records organized, including tracking accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring that each account is reconciled correctly. Responsibilities • Create detailed journal entries and post them to the general ledger to track all income statements and expenses • Handle all accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis to make sure each invoice and expense report is accurate • Enter financial data into computer software, making sure all bills and invoices are filed correctly • Facilitate all incoming payments and outgoing checks, including printing, obtaining signatures for, and distributing checks as necessary • Prepare for quarterly reporting using standard best practices and assist in monthly closings • Assist the real estate team with other accounting duties as needed Real Estate Accountant Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is highly valued • At least 2 years experience in real estate accounting, or property accounting preferred • Can Start Immediately • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software • Proficient in property management software We will only get in touch if you have been shortlisted for the role.
