SCADA Operator

Job Purpose:Monitor and control of the plant Operation parameters and coordinate with the other Operators regarding all related activities that affect operation in Taif Independent sewage water treatment plant.Job Description:Comply with safety rules and regulations and to be familiar with the fire equipment in the plant area.Familiar with plant P&IDs, SOPs, Work instructions, Operation and control logics as well as the emergency operation procedures and any other related documents.Monitor all parameters of the unit and enter periodic readings on log sheets. Summarize all activities/events that took place during his shift in the logbook.Follow the instructions of the process manager and coordinate with other Operators in regard to all activities.To alert and take quick actions during abnormal operating conditions.Coordinate and ensure Lock Out & Tag Out during the isolation of equipment for maintenance as per the approved Permit to Work procedure. Normalize the equipment after cancellation when instructed to do so.Inspect the unit and auxiliaries during the shift to make sure that all equipment parameters are within limits & report abnormalities to the process manager.Perform the periodic protection tests under the process manager and maintain records.Perform equipment change over according to preset schedules.Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment and follow up for the defect rectification.Assist in the training and familiarization of new and field operators.Report near misses and implement prescribed risk controls.Report deviations in Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System.Ensure proper waste disposal measures.Qualifications & Requirements:Required experience 3-5 years in SCADA operating system.Generic awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principlesKnowledge of identification, classification, and disposal of wasteKnowledge of Emission MonitoringKnowledge of environmental and health impact of chemicals being used in the plantKnowledge of firefighting equipmentKnowledge of PPE and safety equipmentKnowledge of First aid measuresShould be well conversed with SCADA operations for Power/Water plant operational activities, preferred in sewage wastewater plant.Interpersonal communication skills.Analytical skills.Hazard Risk Assessment capabilityAspect Impact Assessment knowledgeBasic computer skillsLocation: Taif city
