Semi Truck Driver

We are an international logistics trucking company that’s currently looking for an honest and reliable Semi Truck Driver to be responsible for transporting finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers.The company driver will also be responsible to collect and verify delivery instructions, plan routes, and fulfil the delivery schedules in the gulf regions. He is also required to report defects, accidents or violations, maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventive maintenance regularly.Lastly, the company driver is also needed to comply with the truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures, document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel or toll receipts.Requirements and skills:• Must have excellent driving skills, good judgment and the ability to remain focused for extended periods of time and react quickly during emergency situations.• Proven work experience as a Truck & Trailer Driver for a minimum of 5 years (Gulf region roads)• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS)• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it on the vehicle• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations• No recent moving or driving violations• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)• Willing to submit to background/drug checks and provide employment recommendations• Trucking school diploma• Valid truck driving licensePersonal attributes required for the role include:• Honest, trustworthy and reliable• Presentable appearance and friendly manner• Flexible attitude and willing to work outside regular working hours if required• Works efficiently, able to plan and prioritize tasks
