Solutions Architect

Solution Architects are responsible for interacting with potential clients to determine their needs and explain the value of their company’s products or services. They will also be tasked with creating presentations, writing proposals, and other activities that help seal the deal.Solution Architects must have strong communication skills and an understanding of technical concepts. They need to be able to clearly explain complex ideas in a way that everyday people can understand them.Solution Architects Job DutiesSolution Architect typically has a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:Collecting customer requirements and identifying potential problems that may arise with the product or servicePrepare and ensure that designs meet customer needs and can be manufactured cost effectivelyProviding information about products or services to potential clients, including demonstrationsConsulting with customers to determine their needs and preferences to help them select the right products or services for their needsPreparing Technical and Financial Proposals for new projects and negotiating pricesCreating detailed plans for the project timeline, expense estimates, and project specifications, such as materials needed and crew requirementsConducting tests to determine if products meet quality standards or if they are likely to produce the desired results in consumers Skills and qualities requiredpresentation and communication skillsInterest in and understanding of the industry – often a technology-related oneThe ability to research and keep on top of industry developmentsInfluencing and negotiation skillsProblem-solving ability. Qualifications2+ years college degree from an accredited institution.2+ years of sales or sales engineering experience in a business-to-business and large/strategic customer segments.Product certification, engineering credential, or equivalent technical credential is a plusPC proficiency
