Sustainability Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Sustainability Specialist for our NEOM Industrial City (OXAGON) project.As a Sustainability Specialist, you will be working as an integral part of our project design team. You will support with coordination and delivery of the environment and sustainability scope, services, and deliverables across all active Design Work Packages.Key ResponsibilitiesProviding visible leadership and demonstrable commitment to delivery demonstrated by the management processes put in place;Interfacing with other relevant Client sectors, support agreement on technical interfaces, and delivery responsibilities to an agreed programme.Providing technical instruction and guidance to the design teams on environment & sustainability requirementsEnsuring all the design disciplines are conversant with those aspects of the management system that relate to his/her duties and ensure they are aware of the relevance and importance of his/her activities and how they contribute to the achievement of the project’s quality objectives;Initiating and supporting net-zero and value engineering activities.Support the successful delivery of the project’s Infrastructure Environment and Sustainability design scope for multiple design work packages.Dealing with multiple NEOM’s Environment and Sustainability In-Kingdom stakeholders to identify synergies, align approaches, and deliver visions.Supporting the achievement of discipline integration, design assurance, and acceptance with agreement from stakeholders in Delivering LEED, Mostadam & other mandatory certificationsPerson SpecificationHave proven experience in delivering projects for at least 3 years with high sustainability certification ratings.Degree qualified Engineer/Architect or equivalentMinimum 10 years of experience with at least 4 years in the certification of assetsPreference for candidates who have both infrastructure and masterplans certifications experience.Very good at writing reports and explaining concepts and compliance requirements to a non-sustainability-related audienceKnowledge of using Microsoft Projects such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint & MS Project.Knowledge of AutoCAD and online tools.Solutions oriented and a strong team playerThe ability to work independently is essential.Ability to resolve technical and coordination issues during the design phase in a timely way.
