Role Summary:Review the current list of strategies for the region and support in developing new strategies while distilling lessons learnt from strategic foresight reports in light of new trends.Key Activities:Oversee the process of setting priorities for strategic goals in the region in coordination with the concerned ministries.Manage the review process of the current list of regional strategies, identify current gaps and support strategy development by providing insights and feedback.Manage the development of new strategies for the region and ensure its alignment with Vision 2030.Ensure the appropriate procedures are adhered to when preparing studies, research or any other strategic documents.Ensure the alignment and unification of the regional strategies proposed by the ministries to ensure consistency and alignment with the national vision.Distill lessons learnt from strategic foresight reports to identify new trends that may influence the strategic direction of the region.Manage the process of collecting and analyzing inputs used to develop strategies from the concerned authorities.Manage the implementation of risk reduction plans identified in the risk register for each sector and escalate them to the strategic committee, as needed.Review strategic documents (research / studies, implementation plans, …) to evaluate and provide views and observations to the Strategic Committee.Review work procedures and methods, performance indicators and the quality of the department’s operations; develop necessary proposals to improve work performance and submit them to the Executive Director for approval.Prepare periodic business reports, including progress reports as per the annual plans, risks or challenges to be considered, and submit the aforementioned reports to the Directorate’s Executive Director.Prepare reports periodically, and upon request and submit them to the Directorate’s Executive Director. Minimum Education:Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or an equivalent field.Master’s degree is a plus.Minimum Experience:13 years of related experience, including consulting companies is a must and preferably a government entities experience.
